Norway Maple

Two different Norway maple boles are slabbed out in our log yard. One was cut in 2018, the other in 2019, both milled in 2020. Norway maple is considered a “medium” hardwood: not as hard as sugar maple but not as soft as silver maple.

These slabs are currently air-drying in the log yard, awaiting their turn in the solar kiln.
